Add Automation to copy planned release date from epics to story

Hi Everyone,

I want to create Automation rule  to copy planned release date from epics to story. Below are the requirements.

1. If release epic is set to yes or planned release date is changed, then all the linked stories only via Epic Link under that epic should copy the planned released  date value.

2. If a story is added to a release epic (Yes), then copy the planned release date from its epic to that story

Hi @MANISHA -- Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

What have you tried thus far to solve this problem, as this is possible with an automation rule?  Please post an image of your current rule and audit log if you are having challenges getting this to work.  I expect you will need 3 rules to do this:

1. one triggered on the epic's date field change
2. one triggered on creating a new issue assigned to an epic
3. one triggered on updating an issue's epic link field
