A couple of weeks back, I openned an issue with Atlassian Support. I have not heard back from them yet. Is there a way i can check the status of this issue?

When you created the support ticket you should've gotten an email confirmation with a link to the ticket. You should be able to click on that to be taken to the ticket in the Atlassian Support portal. If you did not get that email, then your support ticket creation probably did not complete.
You can go directly to their support portal at
https://getsupport.atlassian.com/servicedesk/customer/portals
... and click on the Requests button in the upper right corner to go to the list of your tickets.
