Is there a way to create a filter that limits to only the "current" project or user?

Holly C_ Langley February 20, 2020

I have several projects that all utilize the same filters and dashboards, but need to be limited to only that project.  Can I write one filter, create one dashboard, that "knows" which project it is in and only displays the results for that project?

For example both Project "A" and Project "B" need a filter that limits to those items that don't have story points assigned.

I can create a filter for Project "A" and copy it to a separate filter for Project "B" but is there a way to create ONE filter that will only return Project A when I am in Project A and only return Project B if I am in Project B?

The short answer is no, current project is not a native function to JQL.  There does appear to be an add-on to solve for this but it's not available for Cloud:
