Just a heads up: On March 24, 2025, starting at 4:30pm CDT / 19:30 UTC, the site will be undergoing scheduled maintenance for a few hours. During this time, the site might be unavailable for a short while. Thanks for your patience.
×Hello.
We are using Microsoft Teams in our company.
The problem is that recently there appears a notification once you paste a Jira ticket link to a chat.
I want to disable that behaviour but cannot find the way, if there is one.
Jira Cloud got installed to my account somehow so I uninstalled it.
And that does not fix an issue.
I believe this feature should be a user configurable, otherwise it's force-pushed by Atlassian-Microsoft.
Thanks.
Hi @Igor B
I was facing the same problem. Looked up community and all I found was it can be done by Admin.
So I tried navigating the Teams app and found that this worked:
This worked for me and I do not see the preview anymore.
That's great, thanks!
@Mohammed Munzir can you share a print screen where is that manage account option? I'm not a teams admin :-)
It works but it will deactivate lots of other things, too - GIPHY for example :(
Hi @Ilidio Faria -
1. Click the three dots next to your profile in the upper-right corner of Teams.
2. Click Settings.
3. Click Privacy.
4. Scroll down till you find Optional connected experiences.
Mine was turned off already, but the notifications were popping up. Turning it on, then off made them disappear.
