Hello,
I need to get count of Epics linked to respective Feature mapped to a custom field using scriptrunner, any suggestions or any help would be appreciated.
Hi Ramya!
This script will display the number of issues that are in an epic : (i.e. that have Epic links):
import com.atlassian.jira.component.ComponentAccessor //Check that the issue is an Epicif(issue.issueType.name == "Epic") { //Grab necessary components/managers def issueLinkManager = ComponentAccessor.issueLinkManager //Get the inward links of the issue def inwardLinks = issueLinkManager.getOutwardLinks(issue.id) def count = 0 //Loop through all of the links, checking for Epic links inwardLinks.each { if(it.issueLinkType.name == "Epic-Story Link") { //Add to count when inward link is an Epic link count+=1 } } return count as int }
For this Script field, you need to ensure that the template and searcher that you are using are for a Number Field.
Also, this might be possible via ScriptRunner's JQL, this community post might be helpful : https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-questions/Query-Showing-epics-linked-to-features-in-a-different-project/qaq-p/1446689
Hope this helps.
