How to add custom fields to Calendar custom even type?

We are using Custom events in Team Calendar and would like to move change approval process to the calendar. For this we need to add custom fields to a custom event type. 

Is this possible? 

If not, is there a plan to add this feature?

Any add-ons you could recommend?

Unfortunately, that is not possible at the moment. There is an open suggestion to add this feature to Team Calendars in the feature, you can keep track of it here.
