✨ Home Dashboards available in open beta!

🎉 Calling all dashboard enthusiasts!

Earlier this month at Team 25, we unveiled an exciting new capability: Dashboards in Atlassian Home are now available for you to explore in open beta. This marks a significant milestone in our journey to deliver more versatile ways to visualize work progress and key metrics, all in one place.

To date, teams have relied on standard in-product reporting to track project status, however, as teams have increased the number of apps they use on a day-to-day basis, both business and technical teams now require more flexible reporting tools to monitor and share work progress.

While business intelligence and analytics solutions offer a highly customizable, and often wide-angled view of productivity, individuals and teams still crave easy to configure reporting across the everyday blend of apps they use to the get the job done - that’s where Home Dashboards come into play.

📊 What can I track with Home Dashboards?

With new templates, chart building capabilities, and more metrics from Atlassian and third-party tools, you can leverage Home Dashboards to ask more questions about how work is flowing:

                    Keep goals on track

        Manage software development

             Optimize service health

Hi @Allanah Miller

Thank you for the information on this new version of dashboards and visualizations!  It seems like good progress as the old dashboard features had stalled on improvements, leaving customers to resort to using marketplace apps to fill the gaps.

What has the team considered in regards to adding such visualizations to automation capabilities?  For example, perhaps adding a rule action to generate a visualization (e.g., using the gadget settings your examples show) and then allowing that to be embedded as an image when an email or Slack message is sent.

Kind regards,
Bill

Who we’re looking for:

  • Users of Jira Dashboards and/or Home Dashboards

  • Comfortable with filters, or curious about making dashboards more useful

  • Happy to chat for 1 hour over Zoom

Interested?

  • Just fill out this quick form and we’ll be in touch to schedule a time.

  • You’ll receive a gift voucher to thank you for your time

We’re looking forward to hearing from you,

Wow! This looks quite promising to be honest :)

We've been struggling with Jira Dashboards for a while now and have mostly redirected clients to Marketplace apps (if they are willing to pay for something like that), but this might be quite a decent thing if you don't have Atlassian Analytics.

I'm keen to see development progress of these 😄

As long as this ends up in Jira without us having to expose users to all the complexity of the Atlassian Home features (e.g. Projects, Goals), then I will be happy, however if Jira Dashboards are sacrificed to force users down the path of using the Atlassian Home, then I'm going to face some very unhappy users.

At least this explains why there has been no investment in Jira Dashboards, forcing us to go down the paths of PowerBI reports leveraging the RestAPI.
