The data that you see on your Atlassian Home dashboards comes from the Atlassian Data Lake and aggregates data across your products. It is not refined by a JQL-backed saved filter or Jira board. You will need to use dashboard-level filters to refine the scope of data.
The data presented in these charts do respect object-level permissions, so the data you see may differ from what one of your team members sees. For example, if you create a chart that shows a count of issues by status and share it with a team member, you both may see different counts depending on the permissions of individual issues in your project.
There are three permission levels for dashboards:
can view
can edit
can manage
The following dashboard actions are available per permission level:

Today we support four metrics, which determine the numerical values in your chart:
Issue count - count of Jira issues that match the selected categories and filters.
Story point sum - sum of story points that match the selected categories and filters.
Average lead time - the amount of time between when work on an issue started (moved to an "In progress" status) to when the work was completed (moved to a "Done" status).
Average issue age - the amount of time between when an issue was created and now.
We plan to expand this to include data from across your Atlassian products, including DevOps, Jira Service Management, Confluence, and Atlas.
We recommend that you first set up a few dashboard-level filters before you create any charts. This will help refine the data that appears on your charts. Try to filter on key projects or issue types that you're most interested in.
This will improve performance and help you better understand the charts that you're looking at on the dashboard.

Today, there's only one way to share the dashboard with others in your organization:
Navigate to the Dashboards tab in Atlassian Home.
Select More actions (three-dot menu) for the dashboard you want to share.
Select Grant access. A pop-up will appear where you can grant view, edit, or manage permission to individual users or groups.
Note: There’s currently no way to view who has been given access to the dashboard or to revoke access to the dashboard without deleting it.
