How to remove watchers from a build plan?

We have people who've left the company, but they were watching some build plans so bamboo attempts to send email to them.

I can't find a bamboo rest API to remove then, willing to muck with database if needed.

Please advise.

they still have active accounts? Or are they watching without bamboo accounts?
