Hi there,
The Bamboo 5.10 Release Notes have - among others - the following comments concerning two of its several platform upgrades:
Servlet API upgrade (3.0.1) - Make sure that your plugin is compatible with the servlet API 3.0.
Soy Renderer upgrade - The new soy compiler used by Bamboo is more restrictive when it comes to the template syntax. Make sure that your templates are properly compiling in runtime.
Would you please elaborate on both of these underlined statements? Are they both referring to the end user developing its own plugins/templates or some third party tools or neither of those? What exactly do they refer to?
Thank you in advance for your reply.

Hi Sergei,
This bit of information is really aimed at 3rd party developers and those of our customers who develop their own custom plugins. If you have add-ons installed in Bamboo you can use the upgrade check to verify whether the add-ons you have installed will be compatible with the new version of Bamboo you're thinking of upgrading to.
