Bamboo backups taking longer and longer

We have a weekly schedule of backing up the Bamboo database, which is Saturday at 1:00am local time. This used to take approximately 12 hours and Bamboo would be available by noon on Saturday, however it has been taking longer and longer recently (up to Sunday morning, 2x as long!) Our database has been growing, but not two-fold like the backup has been. Is there a way we can cut down the time?

@Sandeep Nagaraja it is a hot backup, that is while the database is up.

Is it Cold Backup or Hot Backup ?
