Environment Variables within Bamboo

I am unable and execute a build using msbuild via Bamboo when running as a service using the system account.

This is occurring on a 2008 R2 system. This did not occur when we were trying this process under a 2003 environment.

Depending on the testing configuration in use I received messages about not being able to find cmd.exe and references to non existent temporary file directories. This has led me to believe that either none or a very restricted set of environment variables is in use.

I have temporarily worked around this issue by having an administrator logged in to my build system and opening the console to Bamboo.

How can we get this working correctly running as a service under the system account?

Per a support ticket with Atlassian this issue can't readily be fixed. We worked around it by utilizing a dedicated account.
