For logging and diagnosing purposes, I need to obtain bamboo server version and send it with my application request from scan task module. How can I obtain bamboo server version in Scan Task plugin?
Hey there,
You can query the Bamboo API to retrieve the server version easily via this endpoint: http://bamboo.mycompany.org/rest/api/latest/info
An example curl call would look like this:
curl -u myuser:mypassword http://bamboo.mycompany.org/rest/api/latest/info
As for how to do this via the Scan Task plugin, are you talking about a third party plugin? You may need to contact the vendor of that plugin about how to make use of the Bamboo version information.
Cheers,
Dave
Is there a way to obtain a username and password in Bamboo plugin to make a request via HTTP client. Optionally, can I obtain it via TaskContext or TaskConfigurator without API call?

Sorry for the ambiguity. The plugin I am developing is "scan task" plugin. Which initiates a scan and sends some information related to the build such as changeset Id, build number, plan name etc.
We can rename it as the Task Plugin Module. Is there a way to make this rest call within the plugin?
