Deployment should fail if task fails

What should we do to Fail a particular deployment if the tasks within our Bamboo plan are failing.

We use bamboo to call external scripts.  Within those script we have coded exits if the script fails.  Since the script exits, bamboo 'thinks' the script was successful.  We are experiencing false positives because of it.  Our solution is to grep the build logs. Unfortunately, we are using a remote agent and the logs are being saved on the main bamboo server.  So any way to ID an error on the remote agent would be appreciated
