Automatic merging exception

Nicolas_Grussenmeyer February 20, 2018

Hi,

We have the "Enable automatic merging" enabled on one repository. We would like to add exception on specific branches. For example :

Branches containing 5.1.1.1 or 6.1.1.1 should not be automatically merged but all the others should.

I searched on the web but could not find any example on how to achieve this.

Does somebody have an idea?

Thanks

Hi Nicolas, when you're using automatic merging in Bitbucket it's not possible to add exceptions.

I've done some research and found a plugin that might help you, you can find it at Scriptrunner: Auto merge pull request.

Please note that Scriptrunner is a third party product and it's not developed by Atlassian. I've added them to this post in case you have any more questions related to their product.

Hope that helps!

Ana
