Hello you all,
I've been trying to migrate EFS to EBS for some time now, due to incorrect settings in the beginning. Rsync, rclone and Amazon Datasync haven't been working as expected.
Have anyone done this, what would be the best approach:
Cloning configuration:
EC2 mounted with both EFS and EBS:
Rsync:
rsync -avzhP --log-file=/media/mgt/migration.log --delete --delete-excluded --exclude=/caches/ --exclude=/data/db.* --exclude=/shared/data/db.* --exclude=/search/data/ --exclude=/shared/search/data/ --exclude=/export/ --exclude=/log/ --exclude=/plugins/.*/ --exclude=/tmp --exclude=/.lock --exclude=/shared/.lock --exclude=/shared/logs/newrelic_agent.log /media/atl-efs/bitbucket/ /media/atl/bitbucket
Amazon DataSync:
Source: EFS Storage
Destine: /media/atl/bitbucket
Data transferred: 26496.15 MiB
Data throughput: 1.99 MiB/s
Files transferred: 1571745
File throughput: 118.17 file/s
Errors:
Execution status:
ErrorDataSync agent ran into an error connecting to AWS. Please review the DataSync network requirements and ensure the required endpoints are accessible from the agent. Please contact AWS support if the error persists.
