Hi
I just started to use the trail, I have 2 sprints,
I think I might want to try and create a branch per spring, do you recommend that?
Not all the task in the same springt are logically rekated to each other.
If you do recommend that or not, is it possible via the bitbucket plugin?
I want every commit within the same branch to be related to the relevant sprint.
Thanks.
Hi Avi,
I am under the impression that you are referring to Sprint in Jira, is that right?
From my experience, we do not have any feature that will allow creating branch per sprint in Jira; neither with the native "DVCS Integration" of Jira, nor with a third-party add-on.
We normally associate a branch with a Jia issue, and we do so by mentioning the "issue Key" of the Jira issue when we create the branch, or performing commits.
If you got Bitbucket and Jira integrated through DVCS integration, the branch/commit/Pull Requests will appear in the issue that you mentioned earlier (by Issue Key).
More on that can be found here:
Please take note that this is taken from Jira perspective, and it might differs with Bitbucket expert's perspective. But I do hope this helps!
Cheers,
Ezra ARA
