How can I stay current with elasticsearch when using the buckler plugin.

We use the Elasticsearch RPM repository to stay up to date with patches and security fixes, but every time a new release of elasticsearch is create, I have to wait for Altassian to compile the buckler plugin. Atlassian does not actually make a new release of buckler for every release of elasticsearch.

Has anyone succeeded in compiling the buckler plugin for any specific elasticsearch?

If so can you give me some docs on doing this?

Does Atlassian provide any details on compiling buckler for an arbitrary release of elasticsearch?

I would be happy to provide my results/packages if I can only figure out how to achieve them :-)
