Inconsistent button order in repo and fork of said repo

johny b December 18, 2018 edited

Hello,

When I am in a project repository, the buttons on the top left (below the project icon / name) go in such order:

  • Clone
  • Create pull request
  • Create Fork

But, if I am in a fork of said project repository, the buttons are ordered like this:

  • Clone
  • Create branch
  • Create pull request

Often times when I create a pull request I misclick the "Create pull request" button, simply because the buttons are not consistently ordered. I suggest switching the "Create branch" and "Create pull request" buttons in the project's fork repository.

Thank you and have a nice day :-)

Hi Johny,

Your permissions might be different if you're seeing different menu items changing order from repository to fork.

Most likely, you won't have permission to write to project repository which is why ‘create branch’ doesn't appear.

Cheers,
Tim
