Is Atlassian Universal Plugin Manager Plugin version 3.0.2 compatible with Bitbucket version 6?

The latest version of Bitbucket appears to be 6.1.2.  The latest version of Atlassian Universal Plugin Manager Plugin is 3.0.2 and indicates it is only compatible with Bitbucket Server 4.4.0 - 5.16.3.  Is it not compatible with Bitbucket version 6?

Hello Bill,

The Atlassian UPM ships with the product meaning it should be updated and supported within the version of the product you have installed. While our documentation of this plugin reports differently, you can rest assured that the Atlassian UPM does, in fact, support Bitbucket 6.1.2.

With this said, I am submitting an internal issue to have the documentation updated for all products so this is properly reflected and avoids confusion, such as this.
