I have a Bitbucket and Jira instance that I integrated using the default application links feature.
Now, when I look at the commits in Bitbucket, the Jira tickets keys are links to Jira. Which is great.
This made me think that it would be useful to have links in the Jira tickets to the Bitbucket commits as well. I can see some work on integrating Jira with Bitbucket has been done for example I can create a branch directory from Jira.
But IMHO it would be far more useful to be able to see the commits then this ability to create branches in Jira.
Will this be forthcoming in a future release of Jira? I am using 7.12.3. Or is there a third party plugin that offers this functionality?
Our free Git Graph for Jira plugin does a decent job of this.
(But it doesn't work on Jira 8.x... yet.)
You should be able to see the commits on a Jira ticket by default, on the right-hand side of the view screen. However you need the right project permissions, check you have the 'View Development Tools' permission.
