Can we host our Bitbucket server instance in the cloud?

Jeanne Nicole July 16, 2018

We have a Bitbucket server instance with 50 licenses.  We prefer not to convert that to Bitbucket cloud version.

Can we move our server to the cloud so it will integrate with our existing Cloud JIRA and Confluence instances?

Hi Jeanne,

I don't believe I fully understand your question, however, hopefully the information below will help.

If you are wanting to simply connect, or applink, your server instance to your Cloud Jira and Confluence, you can read how to do this in our Link to server products from Cloud.

If you are wanting to actually migrate your Bitbucket server instance into the Cloud (like AWS) rather than utilizing our Bitbucket Cloud then you can follow our Getting started with Bitbucket Server and AWS guide.

Hopefully I addressed your question but if there is anything else I can answer, let me know.

Cheers!

Thank you, Michael,

We were looking at all options, including those you mentioned above.  Those links may be useful for future migrations.

In this particular case, we have decided to move our instance to Atlassian's cloud BitBucket after all, and you have provided a handy link for that as well.

Best regards,

Jeanne
