Have been asked to install Stash using our MS-SQL cluster, however all the instances are CI collation whereas Stash requires a CS collation.
Given this collation requirement, and that I can't add another CS collation instance to the cluster, does Stash actually use TempDB at all ? If not, could I install the Stash DB on this cluster, even though the database collation does not match the server collation ?
Hi David, I have answered your query via your support request too but here it is again for anyone else looking for the same information:
Stash does use some temporary tables, but having TempDB be CI is fine.
It's only Stash's tables themselves where it requires CS.
Thanks,
Gurleen
