Hello,
We are trying to reclaim disk space on our Bitbucket Server instance.
We found some repositories that were no longer needed and deleted them, however the disk space usage has not gone down at all.
Is this a bug or expected behavior? What can we do to manage disk space usage?
Any guidance is appreciated, Thank you.
Hi Patrick,
If a repository is forked to another repository and that fork still exists, the original repository will remain on disk even if it is deleted. Is that the case here?

Yes, I believe that is the case here.
I had some users delete repo's forked into their Personal Projects but saw no change in the overall disk space usage.
Will the disk space usage go down only when both the original and forks are deleted?

Hi Patrick,
Yes, once the last fork is deleted the original repo will be removed from disk.

Hi, even though I deleted a repo with no forks, the repo still appears to be on the disk. (ie. 'E:\Bitbucket_Data\shared\data\repositories\1278')
Could there be an issue with Bitbucket Server's garbage collection?
