ssh git@bitbucket.org recovery_codes

Bitbucket two-step recovery codes

If you don't use a password to log in you'll need to contact support to recover your account: https://support.atlassian.com/bitbucket-cloud/

Enter Bitbucket password (Warning: password displays when entered):ABCDABCD

Your single-use recovery codes are

Once logged in, you should immediately visit

to add a new two-step device.

The bold letters are terminal output. As you can see, authentication is successful but no recovery codes are displayed, what should be done? Am I blocked from accessing or is this some kind of  a bug?

Hi @dipanshuverma and @Brian Wood,

I've talked to some colleagues about it and we haven't seen this issue before. As we'd like to keep the investigation to be able to help you, please submit a Support ticket through https://support.atlassian.com/contact/#/ .

Once we receive your ticket we'll get in contact with you :)

Cheers,

Hi @dipanshuverma , welcome to the Community!

Seems like the operation is successful (as you can see the "Your single-use recovery codes are" part), but the codes are not visible.

Can you confirm this is not due to the settings of your terminal? Maybe the codes are being printed in the same color as your background?

Please try setting a different color scheme in your terminal and repeat the operation. If you still can not see the codes, send us a screenshot so we can continue helping you.

Kind regards,

Ana

Hello I have the same issue and it is not due to the settings of the terminal. The codes are not there.

Did anyone figure out why the codes come back blank and how to address this? I have been locked out of my account for two days. Thank you!

Same story here. First I tried to login by normal code from Authy app but I got warning

  • Invalid two-step verification code.

after that I tried to use the recovery code which I saved just after enabling two step verification some time ago but I still get the same error:

  • Invalid two-step verification code.

So after that I tired to get new recovery codes by the terminal and get exacly the same logs like guys above.
