We recently upgraded to Bitbucket 5.14 from 4.xx. When I now try to get the link for cloning a repository by HTTP I don't get my username in the link any more. Before the update the link was: https://user.name@server.com/bitbucket/scm/prj/application.git

Is there any setting I can configure the link to include the username?

Hi Thermo,

Thanks for reaching out here.

This is an improvement to Bitbucket Server as tracked in BSERV-4527.

To optionally enforce the username to be added to the clone URL, add the property setting;

http.cloneurl.includeusername=true

in BITBUCKET_HOME/shared/bitbucket.properties file.

Lets know the outcome of this.

Kind Regards,
Victor

Thanks @VICTOR-OSEGHALE. Works fine!

Thanks.  Not sure why this is an "improvement".  might have been a better option to allow customers to disable it. rather than disable it in an upgrade and have people search for the solution.
