Hi,
Is there any workaround to make index.md to work in Bitbucket. Do I need to convert all my markdown files to HTML?
This is for my static website.
Can you go into more details about what "work" means? Is it that none of the markdown is rendering whatsoever or that some of it is rendering but it's incorrect or not 100%.
It sounds like you're saying it's the former (not rendering at all). If that's the case I'm not sure what all the exact filenames Bitbucket will check to display the "front page" of your repo or the precedence of them, but from my own experience README.md or readme.md is almost certain to work. I would try renaming the index.md to one of these.
Hi @Mridula Menon (Product Knowledge Enablement),
I just had a look at the Bitbucket Cloud account with the same email as your community account.
I can see you have a repo there ending in bitbucket.io. If this is the one you are having issues with, I see that this repo doesn't have an index.html file in the root directory.
This file is needed for a static website hosted in Bitbucket, see our documentation here:
Kind regards,
Theodora
