Hi everyone!

I am the product manager of Atlassian products here at National Bank of Canada .
We are currently using JIRA, Confluence and Bitbucket.

I have been a long time user of Atlassian product, I have been working with Confluence for at least the last 10 years and JIRA for the last 5-6 years.

I decided to create a user group here at the National Bank of Canada to help break silos and make our users share knowledge and also meet each other. Atlassian tools are used by many departments that would not meet otherwise.

Hello! Excited to be here : )

  • My name is Mara Martin.
  • I work at AppDynamics, a Cisco company.
  • We use Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and Service Desk at AppD.
  • Atlassian products have been a part of our company basically since inception. I think the first Jira issue was filed in 2008 : ) I've been learning the ins and outs of Atlassian for almost 4 years now. Time flies when you're having fun.
  • We hit a tipping point of "number of employees" and "number of Atlassian tools" that made it very apparent we needed to arm everyone at AppD with more knowledge. What better way to do that than an AUG?!

Hello everyone!

I'm Tzoe Keat CHIAM and I work for Ordina (kind off small consultancy company in the Netherlands).

The products we are using are Jira and confluence (both server) and we have been using them since 2007.

As for myself I've been a user of the Atlassian products since 2008, but have been rolled into the Atlassian eco system since 2017. I've been running AUG Amsterdam since May 2017 and also thought my own colleagues would benefit from a Company AUG. So I started the company AUG a bit later. It has helped my co-workers ever since.

Cheers!

Tzoek

Hello Everyone!

My name is Claire Nelson and I am the administrator for the Atlassian products at the John Lewis Partnership in the UK.

We are using Confluence, JIRA, Fisheye and Crucible and Crowd and I have been a user of the products since 2013.

I regularly attend the London AUG and enjoy the content and meeting fellow Atlassian devotees, so I wanted to create a company AUG so that my colleagues could share knowledge and hear about the plans we had for our instance.

Last month we also hosted the London AUG meeting for the first time and hope to do it again in the future.

Hi, I'm Nicki, an applications analyst at ZOLL in Pittsburgh, PA, USA. I manage a lot of the engineering department's third-party tool solutions. I have been administering Atlassian products since 2012.

ZOLL engineering has been using Confluence Server, Jira Server, and Portfolio since 2017. Some teams also use Trello. Additionally, we use TaskTop to integrate Jira with Jama.

An Atlassian user group has been established within ZOLL Pittsburgh to help share best practices, tips, training on new apps, etc., as well as to connect and work/share with another department within our organization that is using Jira Service Desk. We have yet to meet formally, but there have been several department-only meetings to cover how we are using these tools and to share tips among scrum teams.

Hi,

I'm Maarten, a Product Owner in a team called Digital Nomads (yes we are proud of our name). We manage G Suite and almost all Atlassian products (Jira, Jira Service Desk, Confluence, Crowd, Bitbucket and Jira Service Desk Cloud). Only OpsGenie is part of another team.

I've been working at de Persgroep for 7.5 years and was there when they started using Jira in 2012. We're one of the largest media companies in Belgium and the Netherlands but also expanded towards Denmark.

Both Confluence and Jira are THE tool for IT but is also being used within certain business departments. Recently we started moving 150 users (+- 50 mailboxes) to Jira Service Desk Cloud to improve their workflow and make them more efficient.

I'm also a Community Champion and AUG leader in Belgium and a fan since 2011 (basically when I started using Jira at my internship).

Oh and I also love beer. I both taste and brew it often!

Best,

Maarten

Hello everyone!

I'm Helen, Operations Lead for the ALM Delivery Centre in Capgemini based in Telford, UK. We both manage and support a number of Atlassian applications for ~ 3,500 users (at the moment :)) - Apps include: Jira Software, Jira Service Desk, Portfolio, Confluence, Fisheye, Bamboo, Bitbucket and Crowd. Capgemini as a company however, is a global company and we have teams based across the world helping companies use the Atlassian tools to deliver their work.

I've been using the tools for around five years now, and these days find myself more of a user than in the Support space, but still pick up support if needed.

I started the Capgemini company AUG in February because we have a large community who don't necessarily understand the power of the tools, and how they can be customised to suit their needs as much as we thought they did. My first AUG showed the real mix of users, from those who love the tools, to those who use them because 'they're there...'. I'm hoping that by doing our AUGs and sharing use cases and ideas as a community, that our users benefit more from using the tools and integrate them more into their day to day roles.

Our plans for the next fews months is to do an AUG roadshow across Capgemini UK to really let our UK community know more about the tools.

I've also attended the newly created Liverpool AUG, and have volunteered to talk about what I learn at Summit at the end of April.

Hello, and thanks for providing this, and so many other resources. I think it speaks highly for Atlassian, and Jira in particular, that today is my birthday and I'm supposed to be on vacation, but I'd rather be talking about Jira. :)

I work for Honeywell Federal Manufacturing and Technology in Kansas City, Missouri. We've used Confluence for ages, but only recently added Jira to our repertoire. By a lucky accident, I fell into the role of Jira Administrator, and have fallen in love with the product and its capabilities. It has taken our organization by storm and is revolutionizing the way we do business.

I started the Company User Group as a way to add support and structure to our governance organization. The enthusiasm surrounding Jira in our company is almost overwhelming and I wanted to be able to draw on others' experiences to help me navigate the chaos. I also attended my first Kansas City user group event this week and found it extremely helpful. I look forward to continuing to learn and grow in my Jira journey.

Hi!

I'm Manon and I'm the administrator for Jira Software and Confluence Cloud at April, a French insurance company. I started the Company User Group last February, so that's quite new. The main goal is to ensure everyone knows what they can do with the tools and to make them aware of other uses.

As for me, I've been using Atlassian products for 5 years. I started with Confluence and loved it right away! I was then working as a support engineer and it was awesome to share troubleshooting articles.

I'm also an online Community leader, so see you around :)

Hi All,

My name is Pulkit Arora, I am Manager, Digital Transformation for Generali Global Health Services.

We are currently using most of Atlassian cloud products - Jira, confluence, Service Desk, Opsgenie, portfolio alongside some plugins such as Xray for our QA.

I have been personally using JIRA product for the last 6-7 years and have rolled out JIRA as a platform to break the silos in 4 different organization.

In our current organization, I am leading a move to Agile and Atlassian is my platform for bringing Digital Transformation within our company, and i think the best way to start it was with building AUG.

Hello Everyone,

I have been using Atlassian products for over 8 years now. We implemented just JIRA initially and today, we have multiple instances of JIRA, CROWD, Confluence, Bitbucket Data Center, Portfolio for JIRA and Bamboo.

We have done some heavy customization within JIRA to meet our complex business requirements. I have a team of System admins and developers who work round the clock to keep Atlassian stack of application in good health. I myself have been Atlassian stack administrator at EFI.

Atlassian culture, passion, technology, innovation and ease of doing business, puts Atlassian on the front row. I started the company user group at EFI last year and so far have hosted 2 events with 100+ attendees in each event. Thanks for all the support I have received from Atlassian for these events. I have also hosted 1 Atlassian User Group Bangalore chapter event at EFI in 2017. I love collaborating with people and technology, which is why I put this extra effort to bring the engineers of EFI together to share their ideas and best practices. We also enable users to come and present how Atlassian technology has enabled their teams to deliver MORE.

Thank you Atlassian for your continued support as always.

Hello,

My name is Sharon Helms and I've been using Atlassian products since 2010, first at a software company and now at a university.

I'm a technical writer and editor, as well as the Confluence administrator, for the Central IT team at Portland State University.

We use Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Statuspage, and now Jira Service Desk.

We're starting up a company AUG for Portland State University after attending Summit this year (and having a great time!) and being encouraged by other Community leaders that this would be a great way to share training and best practices with our many employees who are new to Atlassian products.

Looking forward to learning from you all!

Hello,

My name is Todd Hull and I'm one of the Program Managers for our Atlassian tools suite here at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency in Springfield, Virginia. We use Jira Software, Confluence, Bamboo, Crucible, Fisheye, and Portfolio. My Jira journey began in March 2017 when I was asked to research different issue tracking solutions for our division. Soon my scope became larger and more encompassing and soon I was vetting it for an Agency-wide offering. We have a big user base on multiple networks and our environment and customer base continues to grow.

I met Celina at Summit 2019 and she introduced me to CUGs. I was already a member of the Northern Virginia AUG, and had stood up a Jira Community of Practice (JCOP) at our agency - but I needed more content and material to share with our workforce. So joining the CUG was really a no brainer for me.

I'm happy to be here and look forward to sharing knowledge and experience with the community!

Hey guys!

My name is Wade Tracy and I'm the Jira Admin for Truckstop.com in Boise, ID.  I've been using Atlassian products for 3 years or so now and just became an admin within the last year.  I'm also the Boise Atlassian Communtity Events leader but found it too hard to try and combine company events with the ACE, so we made the decision to split out into a CUG.

Currently we use Jira, Confluence and Service Desk.  I really wish we used Bitbucket also, but such is life =)

Hi,

I just joined to the group.

  • Name: Carlos Marin from Spain :)
  • Company: Entelgy
  • Products used: Jira Software and Jira Service Management
  • How long have you been using Atlassian products? 6 years
  • What made you start this user group within your organization?  In my company we use internally Jira in some projects, more people is showing interest in atlassian products and I think is good to have a group of atlassian entusiats inside the company.

I have revised the materials in the trello board and they are not very updated (some items are from 2018) and there is not so much information.

Also this group seems that has not activity since 2 years ago.

is this group still makes sense? or should be joint with other more active groups in atlassian?

Best regards.
