I'd like to have a scorecard that verifies that components have populated all of the custom fields which apply to them. We have different custom fields on different types of components. My current scorecard includes criteria for ALL the custom fields - so on components that don't have some of the custom fields, there are errors when evaluating the criteria, and the component fails on those criteria.
It would be very helpful, when defining a criterion on a scorecard, to have a checkbox to choose "Pass on error", so that you can tell the scorecard to count it as "passing" for a component that the custom field doesn't apply to.
Hey @Joshua W ,
Yeah, there's no built-in option or checkbox like "Pass on error" for a criterion if the field is missing or if there's an error evaluating it (as far as I know).
I mean, each custom field criterion is only available for component types that include that field. You should be able to determine which component types a custom field appears on by editing the custom field settings.
As for feature requests related to this, I haven't managed to find any open ones.
What you can do is to reach out to Atlassian Support and discuss this requirement with them, and their team can raise a new suggestion based on that. (on which you can then vote and watch it for updates) 👀
Cheers,
Tobi
