A new way to mention users in Meeting Notes pages in Confluence

Hi Community!

We would like to use the list of attendees from outlook meetings as a resource for automatic creation of mentioned users in Meeting Notes pages in Confluence.

Imagine the following scenario: user initiates a meeting and sends the invitation to several colleagues via outlook. When the meeting starts he creates a new Meeting Notes page in confluence. Now he needs to manually mention the attendees on the page. So he opens the invitation in outlook to look for the list of users and starts typing... A little annoying, don't you think?..
Instead we would like to enable the option of simply copy&paste the list of attendees from outlook to some macro and the mentioning will be done automatically.

If anyone has any suggestion, other than creating such macro myself, please share :-)

Thanks!
Tanya

Hello Tanya,

Create a meeting note page within confluence using your existing meeting request email sounds like an amazing and huge time saving idea!

With that said, there is a feature request in place to allow you to create a confluence page from an email (in this case it would be your meeting request email). We would suggest you vote and watch this issue to get updates. The feature request can be found here at CONFSERVER-1726, and if you’re on Cloud your feature request is here CONFCLOUD-1726.

This is a great idea and would save a lot of time. We appreciate you sharing this excellent idea!

Regards,
Stephen Sifers
