Is there a way to see from a top level page which pages in the tree have been accessed/updated or which content has been added?

Hi @paul whyton

If you want to see a notification on the page tree or anything on the left menu bar, I'm afraid It's not possible. But you can always add a "Recently updated" macro on your Top level page, and when you open the page, you will quickly see what's changed in your content.

that sounds like it might work, will it look through the child pages or just the one the macro is attached to?

@paul whyton this works precisely if all your child pages are tagged with the same label - you can set that label in the macro parameters then.

The Better Content Archiving provides the Content Status List macro which accepts a CQL  query and can render you the table with the last edit/last view information of the matching contents.

You can add that to any page anywhere, even multiple times. See the middle section here:

If you want to get that list for the children (descendants) of the page with the ID=1234 then use this CQL:

ancestor = 1234

This query will match all children, grandchildren, etc. and list all those.
