Hi Jurij,

This can happen when

  • You are using the wrong version of Java
  • Your confluence.cfg.xml is damaged
  • The permissions on some of the files or directories in the installation are wrong (That is usually the ownership, the owner of all the files should be the user account that is running the service),  If it is this, you should check the home (data) directory as well, the wrong ownership or permissions in there will break it in other ways.

Hi Jurij.

I would advise you to check the following:

  • Do the user that is running Confluence have correct permission to the home folder?
  • Is the confluence.cfg file correctly set up?

What environment are your confluence running on?
