An extra fee for JIRA integration?!

Using JIRA Agile for a long time, I requested Confluence and my company finally approved that. It got installed but when I asked about JIRA integration, I was told it is not free and would require additional fee. I do not understand - in the Confluence pricing I can see JIRA integration included in all packages.

What could be the problem here?

If you already have JIRA & JIRA Agile, you do not need to pay for anything else. The integration itself is free.

Thanks, I thought so. I asked for clarification. We bought the one we can host, not a cloud solution.

That's wrong - the application links are built in, you just need to configure them to talk to each other.

Unless.  Are you on "Cloud"?
