When I just attempted to edit a Word document from Confluence I was prompted to download the Atlassian Companion App. However, the only option showed to download the Mac dmg. I'm on a Windows 10 PC running Chrome so the Mac version of the app will not help me.
I had to find the releases page for the app in order to install this.
I'm on a Windows 10 PC running 1803, Chrome version 69.0.3497.100.
Hey Phil,
Thanks for the heads-up! As you found, you can manually download the Companion app yourself for Windows (either .exe or an MSI for pushing out via group policy) from the release notes page.
I'll pass this info along to our development team - can you just confirm that you saw this behavior on Confluence Cloud?
Thanks,
Daniel
Correct.
I work in the IT department at our company and a user alerted me to the issue. I'm not sure what browser he was using, but the vast majority of our systems are all on Windows 10 (with a few Macs in the mix).

Just noting that CONFCLOUD-65211 is tracking this bug (download link missing on Windows).

It's April 2019 and this is still an issue. I, too, am on a Win 10 machine and when I attempt to download the companion app, it offers me the MAC version. I have downloaded the Win version from the Website, but am unsuccessful in Windows being able to open the file.

If you hover just above the mac button, you can see a windows option. the button needs to be made visible!

I experienced the same thing, and it appears the font for the Windows download is white, so you cannot see it unless you hover over it - it is right above the MAC version link(or right below, I can't recall). I have not had any other issues once it was downloaded.

Thank you. This solved the problem. Seems like someone at Atlassian would correct this by now!

Same issue for me, button is white on a white background. Had to hover above the Mac button to find it.

That worked for the button, but now it says "Waiting for Companion to Launch", and stays that way.
