Bug: show error when creating two spaces with same ID

In our evaluation installation of Confluence one of my colleagues created a new Space called "MGMT".

As he did not give me access I could not see it. When I tried to create another space called "MGMT" I clicked "Ok" in the creation dialog, but nothing happend. No Error message, no warning, the dialog just stayed.

Looks like a bug to me. Not sure if this is the right place to report it.

It's a good place to get help from the community, but Atlassian don't automatically raise bugs for their developers from questions.

To report a bug, visit https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONF - but before you raise it:

• Decide if it's really a support request - if it is, then you need to check https://support.atlassian.com instead
• Have a look around the existing issues to see if it has already been raised as a bug
• Have a close look at the "create space" dialog and play with it.  The designed behaviour is that the "create" button is actually inactive when your space key already exists.  That means it should be 
  • Greyed out
  • Not clickable at all for duplicate spaces
• The problem with it, to my mind, is that the difference between an active and inactive button is very minor and easy to miss. So the bug might actually be just "button is unclear".  If you could test that before raising a bug...
