Can I connect Jira Software 7.0.5 with Confluence 5.5 (Server)?

According to documentation, AppLinks 5.0.3 is installed with JIRA Software, and this version is compatible only with Confluence 5.8 or 5.9.

I am asking because version compatibility between JIRA Software and Confluence is not clear enough in Atlassian documentation.

Applinks should work with earlier versions too. I haven't tried the exact versions mentioned here but usually it works fine.

I would test the migration in a test environment and see how that goes!
