Hi
When we create a new folder in WebDAV and put some files in it, Confluence creates a new empty page. When the user opens the Confluence page, he can't see any content nor the uploaded files. So is it somehow possible, that Confluence automatically adds the attachments macro when a new page is created from WebDAV? Maybe by defining a default template for new pages created from WebDAV?
Thanks for your help!
Hello Yves,
Thank you for contacting us. It is not possible to set a default template for pages created using WebDAV, and I am not aware of any add-ons that would allow you to do that.
There was a feature request to be able to specify a default template, but the resolution was to be able to promote templates. This will not work when creating a page using WebDAV, as you can see by the 2nd link.
My recommendation would be to raise a feature request to be able to set a template specifically for WebDAV created files. You can do this at jira.atlassian.com. At this time, there appears to be an issue with raising new requests. If you run into the same problem, please try again in a little while.
If you do raise this as a request, feel free to share the URL with us here.
Thank you for your understanding!
Regards,
Shannon
