I hate duplication of effort AND I have to create a Issue Escalation Contacts page in Confluence that lists updated contact information.
Everyone in my company has to keep their information, like cell phone numbers, in an HR program that automatically updates Outlook.
If I hardcode everyone's phone number on the Confluence page, then they have to update their HR information AND remember to come to this page and change it. Same problem with using the User Profile macro.
Is there any way I can pull or point to the Outlook profile for people's contact information so they only have to change their information in HR (which changes it in the Active Directory and hence, Outlook?)
I know I can CREATE the user profiles with the AD, but that doesn't help if someone changes their desk or phone information later.
I'd be willing to have a URL for each person that takes you out to the person's information, or I could use the User Profile macro, if the User Profiles would automatically stay updated with Outlook?
