Hi, 

It can help but in order to insert user as a parameter to the user profile macro I need the user KEY and not the user name - can I get the $code of the user key ?

no, you can't but you can write your own macro (https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/writing-user-macros-4485.html) using $content.getCreatorName() in order to get creator name.
