Can we get an enhancement to Find/Replace?

Most other editors and tools when launched will load up any highlighted text as the initial search term(s). Can we get this enhancement in Confluence? It stinks having to either type the search terms (increased chance of errors) or copy paste the search terms when you already have the Replace terms on your clipboard.

If this belongs as a a formal feature request somewhere, please advise.

you are right - there is some formalism for request like this. Go to https://jira.atlassian.com and raise a new suggestion. I recommend to search for similar requests first. Then voting is the better idea.
