Cannot remove users from a group

Hello together,

I would like to remove a few users from a group that was created a few weeks ago.

In the Bulk edit menu I deleted 3 members. Before, there were 50, now there are 47. But when I go to the Groups overview (the menu where all groups are listed), it says there are 50 members.

So when I click on the Group (not the edit menu, just the normal members overview of the group), it shows the 3 deleted members are still in that group.

I tried to delete them again but it has no use, they just stay in the group. What could be the problem here?

Thanks and best regards

Hmm.. I would start with checking this KB article - https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/cannot-remove-user-s-from-certain-membership-s-281480970.html and see if that is the case.

Hello Mirek,

thanks for the link. But that is more relevent when some users were deleted.

Could it have something to do with nested groups? I think some groups were combined together, and this one seems to be the same case.

Is there a way to see which groups are nested? And with which groups they are connected with each other?

Thanks!
