Another issue i have with 4.1 over 3.5 confluence.
I have a template that uses macros, specifically the visio macro
{visio:file=^classesmethods 1.vsd|width=500|height=500|pageTabs=true}
If i create a page from this template, the macro is contained in Wiki Mark-up rather than just adding the macro.
This means it cannot be configured correctly.
How do you add macros in 4.1 to templates?
Thanks
This should work as normal. Provided that the macro is Confluence 4.x compatible, it won't get wrapped in the wikimarkup macro.
For example a template containing this
{children:page=Home}
...will work just fine when you build pages based off of it. In this case, the Home page does need to exist though ;-)
In your case, the {visio} macro need to be Confluence 4.x compatible and it will likely throw an error as new pages don't generally have attachment when first created.
-- Hope this helps a bit.
Thanks, that explains it. The macro works in every other way, just not via the template. cheers

Adding to the question - so how do you add a premade macro to a template? I'm in 4.1, would like to create a global template that includes the Attachments macro so my users don't have to figure it out for themselves. I can't see what's inside the Attachments macro, and the global template edit mode wants only wiki markup - so I'm stuck. Help would be appreciated!
