Why is custom installation set up as same as the Express install'?
Is there another way to do set different path?
I tried copying each dirs to the location that I want, but since I am installing this as service, there are many things that I have to change.. and I am afraid to touch that config files..
Is it just me that this Custom install is not working?
I've also got a support case open. Oddly, I'm able to run the same installer on another one of my VM's that's configured similarly, and custom install works. I've not yet figured out what's different between the 2 servers/env's yet, since they should be the same.

Express install does the installation into the default directories.
Custom install suggests the default directories but you can tell it to use different ones.

if you look at my post.. there is no option that lets me pick the different path.. Custom Install is actually doing the same setting as the Express Install

I get to edit them, I'm not sure what you're doing differently.

I can't edit them either. Perhaps only an issue with 5.8.4-x64 on Linux?

I just came here with the same issue, I kept thinking I was choosing the wrong option or something.
