[Confluence] JIRA Notifications show HTML tags

In Confluence all JIRA notifications contain HTML tags, most likely because in JIRA we use the JEDITOR addon for rich text in comments. Is there a way how we can make sure the correctly rendered notifications are displayed?

I am also having this issue with JIRA ServiceDesk and Confluence.  We use JEditor, and the events show in the calendars with HTML tags.  I posted a ticket on the JEditor website, as no one responded to your question:
