Confluence Team Calendar

Hi,

Just wondering if we have any Confluence Team Calender experts here, as I'm having difficulties getting it to work. 

I've tried using both Project (then selecting "Requested window start" and "Requested window end" as the range) and using a JQL query (that does bring back results when used purely as a query).  Also tried saving the query and using it that way.

In all cases, the calendar stays resolutely empty!  I have a feeling I'm missing something very simple, I just can't work out what it is.

Testing has shown that where I use system fields like created and resolved, it works - but this is supposed to be a forward schedule of change so it needs to show the range between 2 custom date fields (the requested windows above).  As far as I can see, it should work with custom fields?  Is there a particular date format they need to be in?

 *edit: should also have noted that it works as a range with created and resolved, not just as single dates

edit2:  Just realised the field types are "Date Time Picker" - not sure if this is from an add-on?
