Confluence mentions with all JIRA users

I have Confluence configured with JIRA User Directory, but only 1 JIRA group has permission to log in to Confluence.

When I use Mentions in Confluence, all users from JIRA appears. It's terrible find the correct user.

Does someone knows why it happens? It's possible to show only "Confluence users"(only the group with permission)?

Hi Rodrigo!

I tested this locally. It is a bit confusing but the behavior you are seeing is intended behavior. Once you add the JIRA user server to Confluence, confluence essentially has a 'hard line' to JIRA for user management. That's the whole goal, expose JIRA's users to Confluence.

Now the mention works for all users in JIRA, Confluence can 'see' those users because it is passing authentication to JIRA via the user server. Those @ mention users even get a profile page in Confluence. Here's the confusing part - if you try to login with a jira-user member to Confluence, but the jira-user group has not been added to confluence specifically to allow can use permission, the user can successfully authenticate but confluence thows up a not permitted screen. These users do NOT count against the Confluence license, unless they are given can use permissions.

It's not possible to restrict the @ mentions to only see the confluence users as the jira-administrators/users/developers groups are all added to confluence and are not removeable.
