Connect Confluence to Redis

i've searched various forums and the internet, but unfortunately I can't find an answer to my question:

Is it possible to use redis as a cache application together with confluence and connect it?

If so, how do I connect confluence with redis?

Redis itself is already installed on my system and works.

System:
Confluence Server 6.14.0
RHEL 7
