I have a "create from template" macro working to create a new page in another space.
I want each page created in the other space to be created underneath a specific page in the other space, however it will only create the new page under the Space with no option to create as a sub-page in that space.
Can anyone think of a way to make this work, with the caveat that I cannot create or edit a macro as this is locked down by my company's administrators of Confluence.
Hi Jared,
A user called Angus had discussed this topic in the past, and a workaround was determined.
I've just used this workaround in Confluence 5.5 and can confirm it works:
Take the URL from the normal create from template macro and change
&fromPageId=#######to the id of the desired parent. You can then use a macro such as UI Button from RefinedWiki UI Toolkit to make it look nice :)
On another thread, a few more suggestions are mentioned, so please feel free to have a look there!
We have a feature request below that could help with this. The request is to provide more parameters for the macro:
It would really help if you could vote for that request and comment with your usage case on that issue.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Regards,
Shannon
