I've looked for similarly posted questions on the community but haven't found this specific request so please forgive if this is repetitive. Our instance isn't quite ready for prime time, we are still building out content. Our users have been configured. Currently they are receiving weekly "Recommended in ..." emails from the platform. They have nothing on watch. I want to disable all of these emails. In my instance of Confluence 6.1.4 I have the "Recommended Updates by email" option but I have already unchecked "Send by default". I don't want any email sent ever.
I was able to find the following setting regarding app emails but I'm not sure disabling this will actually disable all system emails or the Recommended Update email. Thoughts?
Found and fixed my own problem! There is a bug in the Atlassian platform (Confluence server version). When a user goes in to Settings/Email it shows no items are selected for email. However when they click EDIT, the subscribe option is revealed to actually be checked. There appears to be a bug when it is retrieving email settings for display purposes. We then turned it off for real and saved settings.
