Hi,
We recently upgraded to confluence 4.3.3. We are using office 2010.Earlier in the previous version of confluence viz.,confluence 3.5.13 we could open an excel document in protected view.
However in the recent confluence version ,on clicking an excel we only get an option to "save"it.
Is it possible to have the read only view in the latest version as well??
Thanks,
Sandeep
I found that similar issue has also been raised by some other confluence users as well.
Please find this issue mentioned in the below link:-
https://confluence.atlassian.com/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=311920262.
A ticket is already pending with atlassian support regarding this issue. However they haven't responded regarding any plans or timeframe for the fix.

Hello Sandeep,
Probably it's a configuration in the Office Connector that you need to set, I think this is possible. I would suggest you to check the Office connector documentation in order to achieve this goal, see below:

I hope this helps
Cheers,
LJ.

Hi Lj,
The office connector plugin already comes bundled with confluence version. When i checked i found that all the modules are enabled and also the settings look good.
Could you please let me know if there is any other workaround?
Regards,
Sandeep
